Can I claim my appointment on Medicare?

You sure can! You’ll need to see your GP to get a mental health care plan (MHCP), and through this you are eligible for a number of sessions with a psychologist which are subsidised by Medicare. Even with a plan, there will still have an out of pocket amount to pay.

Can I just use my private health insurance instead?

Absolutely you can! You should check that your private health insurance covers your session with a psychologist, and if they do we can process your claim on the spot during payment.

What if I can’t make a planned appointment?

That’s absolutely fine - things happen! We do have a cancellation policy which states that:

• cancellations with more than 48 hours notice will not incur a fee.

• cancellations with 24 hours (or less) notice will incur a full fee charge.
